To the right is a copy of Ernie's masterpiece, painted with his own little fingers using non toxic finger paint!
The winner will recline in a comfortable anti-gravity chair in the center aisleway of the monkey barn, with the OPR monkeys reclining in their own hammocks on either side of you. You will be watching them, they will be watching you! And you will all be munching and crunching on popcorn and watching movies together. (Supervised of course :0)

Participants will gain an understanding of the complex social & emotional needs of non-human primates, &
skills to help them thrive in a captive environment through creative enrichment & care.
You will have an opportunity to meet the OPR monkeys and hear their individual stories. You will be involved
in a hands on workshop where you will make enrichment toys for the OPR monkeys & later observe them
enjoying your creations!
SAFETY FIRST: Safety is always an important factor when working with monkeys. You will learn what type of
caging designs are appropriate for various species, and how to design safe habitats that will not only appeal
to the monkeys, but keep the humans who work with them safe. You will learn
what safety concerns to consider when providing various enrichment items.
Monkeys are like inquisitive toddlers and can get their heads, fingers or other
body parts stuck in the most unique places! Some items are not recommended or
safe for monkeys!
